Lam Magok, our brother and comrade from @refugeesinlibya, who "lived through" the Mitiga camp and was tortured by Almasri, has decided to legally sue the Italian Government. He did this in the hope that this case will not remain locked behind the gates of state secrecy, and that through his accusation as a direct victim of violence, others will no longer suffer from it.
Of course, everything in Italy, the eternal province ofthe empire, risks being lost in the gears of power struggles, but this is really about those who have no power. As always, we will support Lam and Refugees in Libya by honoring their courage and pioneering role in demanding justice. Because while we speak of state secrecy, women, men, and children are suffering just as Lam, David, Mohamed, and thousands of others have already suffered.
